PSYOP is a project, which investigates the unconscious influences and psychological
processes that lead to the formation of intolerance and stereotypical images.

In collaboration with Susanne Andersen (BA in Psychology), and Heidi Gylden (MA in
Communication), we developed a series of workshops that took place in July 2004.

The workshop participants were visitors in the shopping mall Bruun’s Galleri in Århus.
Through different exercises that focused on the formation of stereotypes and
manipulative processes, the participants were confronted with power structures
influencing the individual.

This material forms the starting point for an audio play installed in Kvickly’s Café in
Bruun’s Galleri for the duration of Minority Report, Århus (2004).

In addition a number of napkins were produced with statements by people participating.
These were handed to costumers when they bought drinks and food in the café
